What is The Way and what is its purpose?

Each year brings a new theme and message for The Way.

This year, Reconcile relays two struggles that affect at least 25% of American families: bullying and absent fathers.

All of us have experienced rejection at some point in our lives, and for some, it is a daily struggle. This year, we seek to highlight this issue in a family friendly, uplifting drama that focusing on reconciliation and hope.

How does this drama work?

Reconcile is a walk through drama experience. This means you will not be sitting in a chair during the entire performance, though there will be seating periodically provided.
During performance evenings, tours depart every 15 minutes with a tour guide accompanying them to each of our nine scenes.

For example: imagine a museum or exhibit - you move from section to section to experience the information, videos, and even performances. The Way operates in a similar way, and a tour guide takes you through the drama.

How long is the drama?

The  drama is about 1 hour 30 minutes long from start to finish.

When should I arrive?

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled ticket time. This will help ensure you can park, register, and join the tour before it departs. If you plan to use our free childcare, this will also allow you to drop off your children.

Can I bring my family?

You are welcome to bring your family. Bullying and hurt caused by absent fathers are both issues that affect many children, teens, and adults with those struggles in the past. This year's story is one that will touch each person and share the Hope that can be found despite struggle.

Older children, teens, and adults are invited to this family-friendly drama. Parents may use their discretion whether to use our complimentary childcare or to allow their elementary age child(ren) to join them on a tour. This year, there are no portrayals of the afterlife or particularly serious scenes that may disturb older children.

Is childcare provided?

Yes! Complimentary childcare is provided for birth through 10 years of age. You can check in your child after completing the Registration process.

Will there be any food at The Way?

Yes! Our concessions staff will be happy to refresh you with beverages, dinner options, and snacks for a reasonable rate.

We welcome groups and offer a 20% discount for 15 or more tickets purchased at one time. Tickets must be purchased by phone through a representative to receive the discount; we are not able to retroactively provide the group discount. Call (434) 515-0667 to speak with a representative.

Groups should arrive at least 30 minutes before their check in time to ensure all group members complete this process prior to tour departure.

This event involves about an hour and a half of walking and standing. If you cannot walk and stand for that length of time without sitting, we recommend that you bring a wheelchair or power scooter.

In order to provide a comfortable and timely experience for those requiring a wheelchair, we ask that those needing such accommodation select a wheelchair ticket when purchasing. The pricing is exactly the same, but these tours are specifically designed to accommodate wheelchairs while moving the performance through the scenes in a timely manner.

Why "The Way?"

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. A "way" is a path. The bold claim of Jesus was that He was the only path, the only way, to have a right relationship with God.

As you walk through this drama, you'll follow characters through their life paths. You'll learn about God's path, "the way," and how it can impact your life.
